Author Guidelines

The Global Journal of Education, Finance and Management (GJEFM) welcomes high-quality submissions from researchers, academicians, practitioners, and industry experts. Authors are required to carefully follow the guidelines outlined below to ensure a smooth peer-review and publication process.

1. Manuscript Submission Checklist

Before submitting, ensure that your manuscript:

✔ Is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere
✔ Follows the required formatting style
✔ Includes all necessary sections (abstract, keywords, references, etc.)
✔ Has been checked for plagiarism (<10% acceptable with proper citation)
✔ Contains ethical approval statements where applicable
✔ Discloses funding sources and conflicts of interest
✔ Includes ORCID IDs for all authors (recommended)

2. Submission Process

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online manuscript submission system.

During submission, authors must provide:

  • Full manuscript (in .docx format)

  • A cover letter addressing originality

  • Title page (submitted separately)

  • Ethical approval (if applicable)

  • Data availability statement

  • Conflict of interest declarations

  • Funding statement

3. Manuscript Types Accepted

GJEFM publishes the following categories:

a. Original Research Articles

Empirical or theoretical studies with robust methodology.
Word limit: 5,000–9,000 words.

b. Review Articles

Comprehensive syntheses of existing literature.
Word limit: 6,000–12,000 words.

c. Case Studies

Detailed analysis of real-world cases from education, finance, or management.
Word limit: 3,000–6,000 words.

d. Short Communications / Brief Reports

Early findings or concise analyses.
Word limit: 2,000–3,500 words.

e. Conceptual / Analytical Papers

Model development, theoretical perspectives, or conceptual frameworks.
Word limit: 4,000–8,000 words.

f. Book Reviews

Critical reviews of significant academic books.
Word limit: 1,000–2,000 words.

4. Manuscript Structure

A standard manuscript must contain the following sections:

4.1 Title Page (submitted separately)

  • Full title (≤20 words)

  • Author names and affiliations

  • ORCID IDs

  • Corresponding author email

  • Acknowledgments (optional)

  • Funding statement

  • Conflict of interest declaration

4.2 Main Manuscript (blind for review)

❗ Must not include author names or affiliations.

It should include:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract (200–250 words)

    • Background

    • Purpose

    • Methods

    • Key findings

    • Implications

  3. Keywords (5–7 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review

  6. Methodology

  7. Results / Findings

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion and Implications

  10. Limitations and Recommendations

  11. References (APA 7th Edition)

  12. Appendices (if needed)

5. Formatting Guidelines

Font & Spacing

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Size: 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Alignment: Justified

Headings (APA-style)

  • Level 1: Bold, Centered

  • Level 2: Bold, Left-aligned

  • Level 3: Italic, Left-aligned

Tables & Figures

  • Number consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.)

  • Must be referenced in text

  • Captions above tables, below figures

  • High resolution (300 dpi minimum)

6. Reference Style

GJEFM uses APA 7th edition referencing. Examples:

Journal Article

Book

Author/Organization. (2023). Title. URL

All references must be complete, accurate, and linked with DOIs where available.

7. Ethical Requirements

GJEFM strictly adheres to COPE, ICMJE, and Elsevier Publishing Ethics.

Authors must ensure:

7.1 Originality & Plagiarism

  • Manuscripts must be original

  • Plagiarism >10% will lead to rejection

7.2 Authorship Criteria (ICMJE)

All listed authors must have:

  • Made substantial contributions

  • Drafted or revised the manuscript

  • Approved the final version

7.3 Ethical Approvals

Required for:

  • Human studies

  • Surveys involving minors

  • Institutional or organizational data

7.4 Conflicts of Interest

Must be transparently declared.

8. Data Availability Statement

Authors must include one of the following:

  • “Data available upon request.”

  • “Data publicly available at [repository].”

  • “Data not available due to confidentiality.”

Preferred repositories include:
Dryad, Zenodo, Figshare, OSF.

9. Article Processing Charges (APC)

GJEFM is a diamond open-access journal
→ No submission, processing, or publication fees.

10. After Acceptance

Once accepted:

  • Manuscript undergoes professional copyediting

  • Authors receive proofs for correction

  • Articles are published Online First with DOI

  • Final version appears in the next scheduled issue

11. Copyright & Licensing

All articles are published under:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
Authors retain copyright.

12. Withdrawal & Retraction Policy

  • Authors may request withdrawal before peer review decisions

  • Post-publication retractions follow COPE Retraction Guidelines

  • Corrections, errata, or expressions of concern will be issued when needed
