Copyright Notice
This Copyright Notice sets out the copyright framework applied to scholarly content published in Global Journal of Education, Finance and Management (GJEFM). It establishes the rights retained by authors, the licence granted to the publisher, the rights enjoyed by third-party readers and re-users, and the procedures for handling copyright-related queries and disputes. This notice should be read together with the journal's Open Access Policy and the underlying Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) legal code.

1. Statement of authorial copyright retention

Authors retain full copyright of their work published in Global Journal of Education, Finance and Management (GJEFM). No copyright transfer is requested, accepted, or required at any stage of the editorial process. The author remains the legal copyright holder of the work in perpetuity.
This applies without exception to all article types — original research articles, review articles, short communications, case studies, and editorial content. It applies to both print and electronic versions of the article and to any future formats in which the article may be made available.

2. Licence granted to the publisher

In exchange for editorial, peer review, production, and dissemination services, authors grant GJEFM (and EP Journals Group as publisher) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable licence to:
— Publish the article in the journal's print and electronic editions
— Distribute and disseminate the article through the journal website, through indexing partners, and through long-term preservation networks
— Archive the article in CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, Internet Archive, and other preservation services
— Register a CrossRef Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for the article and supply the article's metadata to CrossRef
— Translate the article into other languages, with appropriate attribution to the original author
— Reproduce excerpts of the article in journal promotional or educational materials, with attribution
This licence is non-exclusive: it does not restrict the author from also licensing the work to others, depositing the work in repositories, or using the work in subsequent publications.

3. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

All articles published in GJEFM are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. The full legal code of this licence is available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.
The CC BY 4.0 licence is one of the most permissive standard open content licences. It is the licence required by Plan S, the U.S. White House OSTP Memorandum, and most major research funders. It enables both academic and commercial reuse of published content, supporting the maximum possible scholarly impact and societal benefit.

4. Permitted uses by third parties
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Under the CC BY 4.0 licence, any third party may freely:
4.1 Share the article. This includes copying the article, distributing it in print or electronic form, hosting it on websites, including it in repositories, and redistributing it in any medium or format.
4.2 Adapt the article. This includes translating it, abridging it, including it in derivative works (such as textbooks, anthologies, edited volumes, and review articles), remixing it with other content, and building upon it for new scholarly works.
4.3 Use the article commercially. The CC BY 4.0 licence does not restrict commercial reuse. Publishers, training organisations, AI developers, and other commercial users may use the article in commercial products and services, provided they comply with the attribution requirements below.
4.4 Use the article for text and data mining. The article may be downloaded in bulk, processed by software, used as training data for machine-learning systems, and analysed using any computational technique.
4.5 Use the article in teaching. The article may be reproduced in course materials, lecture slides, and educational platforms; distributed to students; and used as the basis for derivative pedagogical materials.
4.6 Use the article in policy and practice. The article may be cited in policy briefs, government reports, regulatory filings, and professional practice contexts.

5. Required attribution

All re-use under CC BY 4.0 requires the user to:
5.1 Give appropriate credit. The user must credit the original author(s) by name.
5.2 Provide a link to the licence. The user must include a link to https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
5.3 Indicate any changes made. If the user has modified the article (for example, by translating, abridging, or adapting it), the user must indicate that changes were made and, if reasonable, what kind of changes.
5.4 Cite the original publication. The user must cite the article's original publication in GJEFM, including title, author(s), year, volume and issue, page range (if applicable), and the article DOI.
5.5 Not imply endorsement. The user must not imply that the original author endorses the user's adaptation or use, unless the original author has explicitly given such endorsement.

6. Author self-archiving rights
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Authors are explicitly permitted to deposit any version of their published article in:
— Institutional repositories operated by their employer, alma mater, or any other institution with which the author is affiliated
— Subject-specific repositories such as arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv, ChemRxiv, SSRN, RePEc, PsyArXiv, EarthArXiv, or Zenodo
— Funder-mandated repositories such as Europe PMC, PubMed Central, or the NIH Manuscript Submission system
— Personal academic web pages and ORCID record
— Academic networking sites such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu
Three versions are recognised:
6.1 Preprint. The version submitted to GJEFM before peer review. May be deposited at any time, including before submission. No embargo.
6.2 Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM). The peer-reviewed version after acceptance but before publisher copyediting and typesetting. May be deposited immediately upon acceptance. No embargo.
6.3 Version of Record (VoR). The final published version as it appears in the journal. May be deposited immediately upon publication. No embargo.
The deposited version should include a citation to the original publication in GJEFM and a link to the article's CrossRef DOI.

7. Distinction between scholarly content and website
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The copyright terms set out above apply to the scholarly content (articles) published in GJEFM. They do not apply to the journal's website itself, which includes elements such as the website design, navigation structure, editorial commentary, announcements, and visual identity.
These website elements remain the copyright of EP Journals Group as publisher. Reuse of website design or visual identity elements requires separate permission.

8. Third-party content embedded in articles
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some articles may include figures, tables, photographs, datasets, code, or other materials whose copyright is held by parties other than the article's author(s). For such third-party content:
— The article's CC BY 4.0 licence does not extend to third-party content unless the third-party content is itself released under CC BY 4.0 or a compatible licence.
— Authors are required to obtain and document permission for any third-party content included in their article. Such permissions are stated in the article's "Acknowledgements" or "Permissions" section.
— Re-users of the article must respect the third-party copyright of any non-CC BY 4.0 elements.

9. Permission requests beyond CC BY 4.0

Most ordinary uses of GJEFM articles do not require any permission beyond compliance with CC BY 4.0. However, certain unusual uses may benefit from explicit permission, including:
— Use of an article in a context that might otherwise be construed as endorsement
— Bulk redistribution in a commercial product where attribution is technically difficult
— Translation of an article in cases where the translator wishes to be acknowledged as the official translator

The editorial office responds within 5 working days. Permissions are granted at no charge for non-commercial uses and for most commercial uses provided attribution is preserved.

10. Copyright disputes and infringement claims
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
GJEFM takes copyright disputes seriously. Two distinct categories of dispute may arise:
10.1 Allegations that an article in GJEFM infringes the copyright of a third party (for example, an allegation that an article copies text or figures from a non-cited source). Such allegations are investigated under the journal's research integrity procedures, which may result in correction, retraction, or other remedy as appropriate. Allegations should be sent to editor@ep-journals.org with as much supporting evidence as possible.
10.2 Allegations that a third party has misused or infringed an article published in GJEFM (for example, by removing attribution or by claiming the article as their own work). The author retains primary copyright and is therefore the appropriate party to pursue such claims; the journal will provide reasonable supporting evidence and documentation upon request.

11. Policy governance and revisions

This Copyright Notice is reviewed annually by the Editorial Board and the publisher. Material revisions are communicated through the journal's announcements page and reflected in the version history at the foot of this document.
Articles published under this Copyright Notice retain their original CC BY 4.0 licensing in perpetuity. The copyright terms applied to a published article cannot be retroactively changed.
