Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of Global Journal of Education, Finance and Management (GJEFM) provides scholarly leadership and quality oversight for the journal. This page sets out the editorial governance structure, identifies the journal's editors and board members with their full institutional affiliations, and documents the policies under which the board operates.

1. Editorial governance structure

GJEFM's editorial governance comprises:

— An Editor-in-Chief, who holds final responsibility for the editorial direction of the journal and for editorial decisions on all manuscripts.
— Associate Editors and Section Editors, who handle manuscripts within their areas of expertise and may make editorial recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.
— A broader Editorial Board, whose members provide subject expertise, advise on editorial direction, contribute to peer review, and represent the journal in their respective scholarly communities.
— A Reviewer Pool, drawn from active researchers in the journal's subject areas, that provides independent peer review of submitted manuscripts.
— An Editorial Office, operated by EP Journals Group, that provides administrative support, manages communication with authors and reviewers, and oversees production and publication.

All board members are accorded equal scholarly standing. The journal does not operate hierarchical editorial structures that concentrate decision-making authority in a single individual; editorial decisions on individual manuscripts are made by the handling editor in consultation with reviewers and, where appropriate, the Editor-in-Chief.

2. Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall editorial direction of GJEFM. Specific responsibilities include:

— Setting the editorial agenda in consultation with the Editorial Board
— Making final editorial decisions on contested manuscripts
— Overseeing the conduct of peer review
— Ensuring that all editorial activity complies with the journal's published policies
— Representing the journal externally in scholarly and professional fora
— Managing relationships with the Editorial Board, Reviewer Pool, and the publisher

3. Editorial Board members

The Editorial Board comprises scholars with demonstrated expertise across the disciplines covered by GJEFM. All board members have established research records, hold positions at recognised institutions, and have agreed to serve on the journal's editorial board.

4. Reviewer pool
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In addition to the Editorial Board, the journal maintains a curated pool of expert reviewers across the disciplines covered. Reviewers are drawn from active researchers worldwide and are matched to submissions based on subject expertise.

The Reviewer Pool is not published as a list (DOAJ guidance permits but does not require this). However, individual reviewers' contributions to the journal can be recognised through Web of Science Reviewer Recognition (formerly Publons) and through annual acknowledgement on the journal website.

5. Editorial office
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Editorial Office provides administrative and operational support to the editorial process. The office is operated by EP Journals Group and is responsible for:

— Managing the manuscript submission system
— Routing manuscripts to handling editors
— Communicating with authors and reviewers
— Coordinating peer review
— Overseeing copyediting, typesetting, and production
— Registering DOIs through CrossRef
— Handling permissions, complaints, appeals, and corrections

6. Conflict of interest policy
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Editors are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest with respect to manuscripts they handle. Categories of conflict include:

— Personal relationships (immediate family, close friendships)
— Recent collaboration (co-authorship within the past 3 years)
— Shared institutional affiliation
— Financial interest in the manuscript's subject matter
— Competitive research programmes
— Any other circumstance that might reasonably be perceived to compromise editorial impartiality

Editors with a conflict of interest recuse themselves from the manuscript and the manuscript is reassigned to another editor. Conflicts are documented in the editorial system.

7. Endogeny standards
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In accordance with DOAJ inclusion standards, articles authored by editors, editorial board members, or reviewers do not exceed 25% of the journal's published research articles in any two consecutive issues (or any calendar year, for the continuous publication model).

Editor-authored manuscripts undergo independent review handled by an editor without conflict, and the publication decision is made independently of any input from the author-editor.

8. Editorial term lengths and rotation
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Editor-in-Chief: 3-year term, renewable once.
Editorial Board members: 3-year term, renewable.
Reviewers: ongoing, with annual review of activity.

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members may resign at any time with reasonable notice. The publisher and remaining Editorial Board nominate replacements through a documented selection process based on scholarly standing and subject expertise.

9. Editorial independence
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The publisher (EP Journals Group) does not intervene in editorial decisions on individual manuscripts. Editorial decisions are made by the handling editor on the basis of scholarly merit and reviewer reports.

The publisher's role is limited to:

— Providing operational infrastructure (submission system, hosting, production)
— Setting and maintaining the journal's editorial policies in consultation with the Editorial Board
— Handling administrative matters such as APC processing and indexing relationships
— Investigating allegations of misconduct under documented procedures

In no circumstance does the publisher direct, approve, or veto editorial decisions on individual manuscripts.

10. Becoming an editor
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

EP Journals Group welcomes expressions of interest from established researchers wishing to serve on the editorial board of GJEFM. The journal periodically expands its editorial capacity, particularly in areas where submissions volumes are growing.

Interested scholars should email editor@ep-journals.org with:

— A current CV or institutional web page link
— A brief statement (200-400 words) of relevant expertise and motivation
— Their ORCID iD
— Suggested area(s) of editorial responsibility

Applications are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and the publisher. Decisions are based on scholarly standing, subject expertise, geographical and institutional diversity, and the journal's current editorial needs.

11. Reporting concerns about editorial conduct

Concerns about the conduct of any editor or editorial board member should be reported in confidence to:

Concerns are investigated under the journal's research integrity procedures. Where appropriate, the publisher may take disciplinary action including removal of the editor from the board.
